Beers and Careers Beckons to those in Pursuit of Happiness - Saturday 10th March, 2007
With sixty percent of employees actively looking for a new job, one local business woman has been driven to drink!
The statistics, released by online learning provider SkillSoft*, have Kerry Gibson of Bounce Career Coaching heading out on the town with an invitation for despondent employees and job hunters to join her for ‘Beers and Careers’. Instead of helping to drown sorrows, Kerry can put smiles back in place by helping people discover ways of putting the challenge back into their current jobs or on the right track for a total career change.
“ It has become clear that there are an awful lot of people who have little or no job satisfaction and are searching for ways to make going to work a joy – not a chore,” says Kerry, who founded Bounce last summer. “I’d like to invite people for a drink to discuss how I might be able to help them take the practical steps they need to achieve their career goals or get them their dream job.”
‘Beers and Careers’ is not just an excuse to paint the town red but for some, could be the first step in gaining that somewhat enigmatic perfect work/ lifestyle balance.
Let’s face it; a chat at the pub is a lot more inviting than an interview in an office or boardroom! ”
Anyone who’d like to join Kerry for a drink and discuss their next career move should give her a call on 0870 3500 142 or 07973 282825 ahead of the first ‘ Beers and Careers’ session’ at her local, The Crown and Anchor at Lugwardine in Herefordshire on Saturday, 10th March.
